1. Tecoma stans (Yellow elder)
This forms a small tree that flowers throughout the year. It is very easy to grow and hardy, and so is very abundant everywhere.
It forms big bunches of yellow flowers all over the tree, then stops flowering as the seeds develop. Afterwards, new shoots start further back along the stems, leaving much dead wood, before flowering again. Thus cutting off all the seeds helps to reduce the non-flowering period.

2. Tecoma (or Tecomaria) capensis (Cape honeysuckle)
A small bush (up to 2 m) with narrow tubular orange flowers. Very hardy and needs to be in the full sun. It flowers continuously throughout the year.
Tecoma alata
A small bush (upto 2m) with smaller flowers than Tecoma stans. Less successful in surviving the summer, but OK if in the partial shade. I have yellow and dark orange flowering bushes.
