Dianthus plumarias (Pinks)
The flowers are in red/ pink/ white colours. They are fairly small and the whole plant is low growing. They are perennial (but I would move them in to the shade during the summer) and need at least partial sun. They will then flower continuously most of the year.
A very easy growing (but fairly slow to get established) plant. they form a compact dense plant (as in photo).

Carnations (Dianthus caryophyllus) also grow well. They have narrower but thicker leaves and much larger usually double flowers. They have a very strong clove scent and so make an excellent cut flower. As a plant, they are much more straggly than pinks and so tend to look rather messy.
